Successful prevention of kudzu vines from climbing along the roadside fence by the double-netted units (DNUs) attached to the fence. Panels A and B show the same site before the start and at the end of the test, respectively. Note the complete suppression of vine growth on the surface of the DNU-attached fences, in contrast to the vigorous vine growth on the adjacent fence without DNU attachment. Panel C shows a photograph of both DNU-attached and non-attached roadside fences at the end of the test. As in Panel B, complete prevention of vine growth is observed on the surface of the attached fences
