Reference ranges are calculated based on the mean ± 2 standard deviations (SD). Results > 1 SD, and < 2 SDs above the mean, are considered to be equivocal. An equivocal result represents the range between negative and suspicious low positive results. Results >2 SDs are considered out of range, and positive. Actomyosin IgA results were obtained utilizing the INOVA Diagnostics Inc. QUANTA LITE Actin IgA kit. <20 units is considered a negative result. 20.1-24.9 units is an equivocal result and > 25 units is a positive result
