The American Journal of Educational Research is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that Provides publication of articles in all areas of educational research. The goal of this Special Issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote promotion, share, and discuss various issues on philosophy of education. There are different approaches in the contemporary philosophical perspectives of the education.
The scope is broad. We aim to bring philosophical Contributions on different areas of educational research, like distance education, educational technology, educational foundations, history education, language education, mathematics education, reading education, science education, educational psychology, educational evaluation, academic counseling, education policy, teacher education and others cross-disciplinary areas of education.
In this special issue of the American Journal of Educational Research, the Science and Education Publishing Group offers an edition dedicated to the philosophy of education. Under edition of Carlos Eduardo C. Vargas, Dr. Cleverson L. Bastos and Gustavo Gava, the journal offers a reflection on contemporary issues.
This is a Special Issue on Philosophy of Education. The editors selected some related papers with various topics, specially regarding philosophy of distance education, philosophy of mind to Applied understanding of education, language education in the globalization and the project inspired in the Feuerstein's philosophy of education.
We have the following papers in the special issue: a) The Philosophy of Distance Education (Gustavo Luiz Gava), b) “Project for Implementation of the Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment Programme in Adult Literacy” (Carlos E. de C. Vargas), c) From Western English to Global English: Issues in Cultural and Pragmatic Instruction (Josiah Gabriel Hunt), d) Jerry Fodor and the Reinterpretation of the Phrenological Model (Cleverson Leite Bastos, Gustavo Luiz Gava, Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho Vargas).
We, authors and editors, hope that the publication of this special volume will motivate more and more studies of philosophy education in a contemporary perspective, especially among readers of the American Journal of Educational Research and other journals of the Science and Education Publishing Group.
