(a). Effects of Hydrogenized water on the Akt insulin signaling pathway in skeletal muscle cells. Skeletal muscle cells were incubated with 0%, 3.125%, 6.25%, 12.5%, 25% and 50% v/v hydrogenized water in buffer for 60 min. Cells were treated with concentrations of 30 nM insulin (Sigma, Aldrich, St. Louis, MO) for 15 min as control and lysed for phospho-Akt (Ser473) and GAPDH Western blotting.
