Fully confluent pre-adipocytes were induced by MDI to differentiate into mature adipocytes in the presence or absence of Gelidium elegans extract (GE) or hesperidin (HP) for 8 days. Total protein was harvested after 8 days, and the triglyceride (TG) content was measured using a triglyceride content assay kit, as described in the Materials and Methods, and with western blot analysis with specific antibodies.
